About this speaker

Yolanda C. Reid started her career in 1999 working for the Department of Defense. For over 21 years, she provided strategic leadership to a globally diverse, technical workforce on several intelligence missions by working across multiple federal agencies towards a common Intelligence Community goal. Passionate about innovation and new technologies, she led workforces leveraging several technologies, such as radio frequencies [RF] communications, high speed fiber networks, SCADA, satellites, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and computer software development. Ms. Reid transitioned from civilian life to become the Vice President of Cyber at EverWatch, where she co-developed the offensive cyber business line. She later continued her career to lead research initiatives at BBN, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raytheon, in topics of cyber, AI/ML, information exploitation, quantum, and synthetic biology.

Ms. Reid holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Vanderbilt University (Electrical Engineering), a Master’s Degree from the University of Maryland, UC (Information Technology), and is finishing her PhD at Capella University (Information Technology). Additionally, she promotes cyber initiatives, especially related to entry into the cyber workforce, is a proud cheer mom, and is a cancer survivor that loves to inspire people through the challenges of life.
